It is ELECTION DAY!! What a privilege to be able to vote. Wow.
Fact: In 1965, all women (regardless of race and/or language barriers) were legally allowed to vote.
In 2024, I voted for Kamala Harris, who I hope to be the first woman president.
I voted for Kamala Harris & Tim Walz for a number of reasons, but one of the most important to me personally is ensuring the safety of my own healthcare and reproductive rights. Today I voted for myself, as well as for my baby niece, my mom, my stepmom, my grandma, my cousins, my sister-in-law, my aunts, my mother-in-law, my friends, and for all the women who came before me and those who will come after me.
I am voting to have the fundamental right to make decisions about my own body.
I have fear about the outcome of this election (which is natural, I’m only human!).
But my hope and my faith are what I choose to do about that fear.
I am choosing to vote and have my voice be heard.
I encourage you to do the same.
